Wasn’t Ben part of that First Continental Congress, the one that expressed a basic problem with (non-)leadership and excessive taxation? Could he have been foretelling the Dubyah administration’s unilateral launch into Federal Banking? Loading up our children and their Pursuit of Happiness with Trillions upon Trillions of debt? Did they check that with any of us?

And wouldn’t Ben advocate revolt? Seizing back? Taking control?

The Federal Government seems to have left your average Joe Jonesin’ for some assurance that his paycheck means something, that he’ll have a legacy to hand off. That the home he’s chained to will retain some of it’s value, and that helping re-stabilize the world economy won’t drive him into receivership.
